Q4C Knowledge Sharing Seminars (K.S.S.)
This leaflet is to announce three upcoming Q4C Knowledge Sharing Seminars.
1. Objective of the Q4C Workshops
Primary goals:
strengthen the existing Q4C networks between countries improve/ share information
and good practices on advocacy and implementation of the Q4C standards and
their potential impact on children to update the participants about the
progress made by Quality4Children in Europe and worldwide to provide a platform
for youth to share their experience and impact of the Q4C standards exchanging
ideas, strategies and good practices to consider the Q4C Standards in national
legal frameworks.
Outcomes:
Collection of good practices which can be published on the internet Cooperation
between countries reinforced to filter relevant contents and aspects for
the second Q4C Conference 2011 develop a strategy to advocate for the adoption
of the Q4C Standards at national level reinforce youth participation in
the process of implementation of the Q4C standards
2. Financing and organisation
Each workshop is organised, financed and conducted by one of the three Q4C
partners. All venue costs will be absorbed by the organising host of one
of the three partners in Q4C. This does not include accommodation for participants.
Each organising host has a named Contact person below, responsible for logistics
and information. More information about logistics will follow after the
application process
3. Target group
The target group are the people working for Q4C around Europe and Central
Asia. The seminars are designed for people who are working with the Q4C
standards and therefore all participants should share their expertise and
knowledge in form of a corresponding presentation - please find more detailed
information on the application form
We would also like to invite young people between 18 and 23 to this workshop
who are currently involved in Q4C implementation and/or advocacy for out-of-home
care standards (with Q4C) – or were involved in the recent past. Please
inform us in a separate email if you intend to bring a young person to the
workshop and enclose the following details of the young person: Name, contact
details (including email), date of birth, level of involvement in Q4C

4. Time schedule and responsibilities
The three Knowledge Sharing Seminars will take place in Spring and Summer
2010. The workshops are planned to last 2 working days. The submission dates
for Seminar presentations is December 15th 2009. The organising partner,
venue and dates are:
